The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to support the development and evolution of an enterprise web platform used to manage complex programs across planning, scheduling, financials, procurement, document management, and progress tracking. This role will primarily focus on building and scaling the core application, including user workflows, system integrations, and data-backed features that support day-to-day operations.

As a secondary focus, this role will support the development of adjacent capabilities, including lightweight web applications and PWAs that interface with AI and LLM-driven tools and analytics or optimization solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong full stack engineer with experience building production-grade web applications, designing backend systems, and working with structured data to support real-world business workflows.

What You'll Work On:

• Design, develop, and maintain a full stack enterprise web application across frontend and backend layers.
• Build and manage user-facing workflows for planning, scheduling, document management, and program tracking.
• Develop backend services and APIs to support application logic, integrations, and data access.
• Design and optimize relational data models, such as PostgreSQL, to support operational system needs.
• Integrate external systems, including document storage, financial data, and planning inputs, into a unified platform.
• Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability across the application stack.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, product, and stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical standards, and long-term platform design.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience with software engineering across frontend and backend development
• Experience in TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, React, Next.js, Backend development, Python, Node.js, SQL, PostgreSQL, and relational databases
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and integrating multiple systems and APIs into a cohesive application
• Experience building production web applications with real user workflows
• Experience designing backend systems that support multi-step workflows, state management, or transactional operations
• Experience with cloud environments, AWS, containerization and CI/CD pipelines, and Cursor and GitHub Copilot AI-assisted development tools to improve development speed and code quality
• Knowledge of data modeling to support application logic and system integrity
• Ability to operate independently and own features end-to-end
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience building enterprise or government-facing applications
• Experience with complex workflow-based systems, such as project management, financial systems, or document workflows
• Experience supporting or integrating analytics or data-driven features
• Experience with AI or LLM-integrated applications or search capabilities
• Experience developing in AI-native environments, such as Cursor
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with product, UX/UI, and data stakeholders
• Top Secret clearance
• Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
