Responsibilities
Arcfield is seeking an experienced, skilled, and detail-oriented User Engagement Engineer to support an Intelligence Community Enterprise Space Communications Architecture mission. This role offers the chance to join our well-established, tenured Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) team.
As a member of the User Engagement Team, you will fulfill a pivotal role in the vetting, technical exchange, advising, and execution necessary to integrate new users onto existing and future advanced space-ground communication systems, maximizing user satisfaction and ensuring successful mission operations. In this position, you will work closely with mission stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that user needs, mission requirements, and operational feedback are captured, translated, and integrated into system designs and enhancements.
This position requires an understanding of the Intelligence Community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure. Arcfield has supported these critical programs for over 40 years and has a proven track record of providing outstanding customer support with consistently high award fees.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical and programmatic advisory services during program execution of communication architectures.
- Facilitate communication between project managers, architects, and systems engineers to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between end-users, technical teams, and operators to ensure user mission needs are well understood and effectively satisfied.
- Understand performance of existing systems and infrastructure to advise users on optimal onboarding strategies.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for diverse stakeholders, including program managers and external partners.
- Gather, analyze, and report on user and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement of system performance, usability, and mission readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to balance user needs with technical feasibility, program constraints, and mission priorities.
- Represent user perspectives during design reviews, operational readiness reviews, and mission support activities.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's (or equivalent) in engineering-related field with 10 to 12 years of experience, or Master's in engineering-related field with 8 to 10 years of experience, or Ph.D. in engineering-related field with 5 to 7 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support within the Intelligence Community or related domains.
- Understanding of space/ground communications systems, satellite operations, or networked mission systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into clear, logical, and concise summaries.
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with government customers, external organizations, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience with GEOINT and/or SIGINT systems.
- Expertise in evaluating and integrating complex systems, identifying discrepancies, and developing effective courses of action.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for planning and communication.
