Job Description
The Jr. Financial Analyst provides essential financial support on federal contracts, helping ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely execution of contract related financial activities. Working under direct supervision, this role assists with planning, tracking, and reporting financial performance across well-defined contract tasks. The analyst collaborates closely with project and contract leadership and coordinates with multiple internal corporate functions to support successful contract delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, tracking, and reporting financial performance on clearly defined contract tasks, either at a Task Order or lower contract level such as Project Plans and/or task order-level (TDL).
- Receive direction and mentorship from a Mid or Senior Level Financial Analyst based on assignment area to complete assigned financial activities accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate with internal functional groups, including Contracts, Subcontracts, Corporate Finance, and Procurement, to support financial accuracy and compliance with federal contracting requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, burn rate analyses, and budget updates for Contract Program/Project Managers, internal leadership and government customers.
- Contribute to compliance activities such as monitoring allowable costs, supporting audits, and ensuring alignment with FAR/DFARS principles (training provided as needed).
- Utilize cost and manpower reports validation accurate charging in accordance with contract.
- Contribute to creating, processing and reconciling travel and material purchase request, validating funding availability and accordance with Joint Travel Regulations and contract requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and take direction from senior financial staff.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for federal client and internal coordination.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial data.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with federal contracting processes (FAR/DFARS, cost principles, contract types, etc.).
- Experience supporting budgets, forecasts, or financial reporting.
- Clearable, if required based on contractual requirement.
