JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Army Navy Business Group currently has a career opportunity for an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) / Surface Warfare (SUW) training analyst to provide live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) support to Tactical Training Group Atlantic (TTGL), Virginia Beach, Virginia, as a fleet training subject matter expert (SME).
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced training subject matter expert (SME) in Joint/Partner Nation Training task requirements. He/she will have experience with the Navy's accredited and certified Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) programs and training processes, including Fleet Synthetic Training (FST), and Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX). In addition, he/she will have excellent public speaking, presentation, and time management skills, as well as at least six years of applicable Training SME experience in:

In addition, he/she will have excellent public speaking, presentation, and time management skills, as well as at least six years of applicable Training SME experience in:
- Conducting fleet training analyses to identify gaps, training needs, and solutions
- Developing and modifying training event/exercise scenarios and curricula
- Delivering training in person and/or online
- Developing training curricula
- Managing training projects
- Designing custom training to meet Fleet and Joint/Partner Nation training objectives
Specific Functional Area tasks include:
- Assist government leads with the development of synthetic scenarios in accordance with current Naval/Joint doctrine, TTPs, and forward deployed Fleet requirements; ensuring all training objectives are accomplished.
- Develop and execute complex tactical vignettes and provide recommendations for the development of synthetic augmentation (entities, scenario elements, simulator operators, etc.) to enhance live training exercises.
- Assist in development of exercise documents to include manning documents, messages, and orders, to include but not limited to OPORDs, exercise directives, MSELs, and exercise game books.
- Provide government leads with appropriate observations and lessons learned from LVC training exercises to ensure relevant changes are incorporated in future exercises.
Qualifications
REQUIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION / SKILLS:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a Secret clearance and Bachelor of Arts or Science degree.
- Active military duty ASW/SUW experience including recent fleet and Joint training, and operational experience at the senior Enlisted/mid-grade officer level or higher.
- Six (6) years of functional area (see detailed technical tasks above) general training analyst experience (ten years in lieu of degree will be considered).
- Must possess proven written and verbal communication skills at the junior management and senior executive level, and be able to act independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience in use of MS Office (e.g., PowerPoint) products.
DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION / SKILLS:
- Experience with the Navy Warfare Training System (NWTS), Navy Mission Essential Task List (NMETL) methodology, and JSAF software operation, including the ability to build and execute complex tactical vignettes.
- Experience developing exercise documents.
- Base-level experience integrating Joint assets into LVC events.
- Familiarity and solid understanding of Fleet Training policy documents, including the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP), Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP) and Fleet Training policy documents, including the Fleet Training Continuum (FTC).
