Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess successful completion of (a) all the requirements for a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or electronics technology, or (b) 3 years of study in an accredited (by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) curriculum in electronics, or (c) a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree that included major study or at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as those shown above for GS-4 or equivalent. At least 12 of the 24 semester hours must have been in electronics courses.

- You will lead a team of no fewer than five General Service (GS) Electronics Technicians at GS-12 grade in the execution of work assignments, testing requirements, and administrative functions.
- You will articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
- You will lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, and/or occupational specialization to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks.
- You will train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects.
- You will monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met.
- You will serve as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members.
- You will research, learn and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
- You will be directly responsible and accountable for the proper direction and accomplishment of all testing of NPES and CCS systems and components, and associated support systems.
- You will develop test plan based on AWP, schedule, modernization work integration, SUBMEPP guidance, working with Lead Maintenance Activity (LMA) production management and technical experts.
- You will be prioritizing testing, resolving conflicts, liaising with external activities and, establishing and maintaining testing schedules.
- You will oversee and coordinate functional checkout, grooming, adjustment, and test of new or modernized Submarine combat and non-propulsion electronics systems in a SWFTS-systems federated or qualifications test environment.
