Help
  • You will begin all responsibility statements with 'You will'; each field should have no more than one sentence; list the responsibilities in a logical order; and avoid using federal or military jargon. 250 Characters.
  • You will review civilian requests for personnel security action and determine type of investigation required and appropriate channels for requesting investigation.
  • You will execute local records check for requests for investigaion.
  • You will review, evaluate, and adjudicate report of investigations, personnel files, and other records to determine whether to grnant, deny, revoke, suspend, or restrict security clearances.
  • You will serve as the point of contact with government investigative agencies performing security and background investgations.
  • You will validate and maintain monthly security clearance access roster.
  • You will maintain an effective system of accountability for all classified material and information generated or received.
  • You will assists the security manager in the administration and control of the personnel security program to include those actions authorized by SECNAVINST 5510.30 and any action pertaining to U.S security in accordance with DOD regulations.
  • You will make sure all personnel are properly cleared to handle information a s required by their duties.
  • You will initiate action to detetmine level of clearance utilizing Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS0.
  • You will assist individual agency personnel in preparing and submitting personnel investigation requests through the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system.

  • Must currently possess a Top Secret security clearance and willing and able to maintain required level of clearance while employed in the subject position.
  • This is a Department of Defense (DOD) Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) Testing Designated Position (TDP).
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with maintaining key control, reviewing security systems, and supporting Physical Security Specialists.

GS-09:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: maintaining key control; inspecting, analyzing, and evaluating security systems; utilizing various security systems and databases (such as the Marine Corps Electronic Security System (MCESS); AND developing security program policies and procedures.

Education

GS-07: In lieu of the specialized experience, an applicant may also meet the following qualification requirements:

Possess one full year of graduate level education

OR
Superior academic achievement

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.GS-09: In lieu of the specialized experience, an applicant may also meet the following qualification requirements:

GS-09:
Possess a Master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR
Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Master's degree

OR
Obtained an LL.B. or J.D., that is related to the position being filled

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
