Job Description
Role Summary
This role focuses on delivering high reliability software solutions for mission critical systems across the full development lifecycle. The engineer will contribute to design, integration, optimization, and sustainment efforts while ensuring compliance with customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, test, and maintain non embedded software from concept through deployment.
• Translate customer and operational needs into initial technical designs, architectures, interfaces, and algorithms.
• Develop and enhance software supporting complex system integrations.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support by addressing user inquiries and incorporating feedback.
• Apply modern development tools, technologies, and regulatory updates.
• Improve software processes, tools, and performance metrics aligned with program objectives.
• Execute and document software R&D activities.
• Advise on software domains, system constraints, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Support project planning, supplier coordination, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications
Required:
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Strong C++ skills; knowledge of Ada
• Understanding of hardware configuration
Preferred:
• Mission planning/computing, OS development, integration
• Radar systems and aerospace experience
• Prior experience supporting multinational or coalition defense programs
