Overview
Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist Location: Landover, Maryland Introduction:Rivet Operations Company is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to support DIA's Enterprise Logistics Services contract at the Defense Logistics Operations Center (DLOC) in Landover, MD. You will serve as the Quality Lead on the contract, working directly with the Program Manager and government leads to keep logistics operations running at a high standard. If you have a background in warehouse or logistics QA and like owning your work, this is a good fit. What You Will Do
• Develop and enforce quality protocols across warehouse and property accountability operations
• Conduct inspections and document findings including condition assessments, damage prevention, packing and handling, and delivery verification
• Maintain checklists, inspection logs, nonconformance reports, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) records, and records retention in accordance with contract requirements
• Identify trends in defects and incidents and bring forward process improvement recommendations
• Support property accountability documentation and chain-of-custody controls
• Coordinate training activities and MSD testing in support of quality improvement
• Enforce OSHA-aligned material handling safety practices and stop unsafe work when you see it
• Brief quality findings and metrics to government leads as required
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
• Must be a US citizen
• Ability to obtain and hold a Government Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 5 plus years of experience in material or logistical QA/QC within logistics, facilities services, warehouse operations, or commercial moving/property handling
• Experience performing formal inspections and producing compliance documentation in a government or defense environment
• Proficiency in QA methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis
• Familiarity with property accountability documentation and chain-of-custody controls
• OSHA-aligned material handling safety knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office or equivalent logistics software Preferred Qualifications:
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
• Familiarity with DIA or IC logistics operations
• Prior DoD logistics or property accountability contract experience Physical Requirements:
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. May include lifting to 25 pounds as necessary.
