Job Description:
Offers support for Environment Safety & Health professionals. Includes specific technical skills to support environmental, health and safety programs, policies and leaders. Performs clerical tasks in order to
increase the efficiency of the EH&S department and leaders. Monitors EH&S department systems and offices for day-today operational issues. Maintains proper documentation to achieve and maintain compliance and prepares for investigations. This position is for a senior EH&S Support technician who is under general supervision. May guide lower-level staff on how to translate, distribute, and maintain limited-scope EH&S policy and procedure documents. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks.
JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION -

• Applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
• Solves basic problems.
• May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of technical/business support employees.
• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS
• Works under general supervision to assist with EH&S program management tasks.
• Guides lower-level staff on how to translate, distribute, and maintain limited to moderate-scope types of EH&S policy and procedure documents, safety alerts, manuals, and other related EH&S information.
• Collects and analyzes basic to moderately-complex environmental data on a periodic basis (e.g., monthly, quarterly) and may assist in training lower-level staff on how to maintain EH&S data management systems.
• Prepares limited to moderate-scope EH&S reports as requested by organization departments on a periodic basis.
• Develops limited to moderate-scope reports detailing EH&S activities as requested by federal and state regulators, trade associations, and industry groups.
• Guides lower level staff in the development of communication materials that outline safety issues related to the achievement of production goals and performance targets.
• Tracks the status and documents the findings of small to mid-scale EH&S projects.
Education:
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree preferred but not required - relevant experience IS required and more important
