Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a GMD Ground Systems Development Analyst in Huntsville, AL.
- This position is on a team supporting the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Product Office at Missile Defense Agency in the task of monitoring and procuring the components of the GMD weapon system
Job Description:
- Support the GMN System Engineering Leadership in requirements verification to ensure that the system or software will meet the predefined technical requirements, specifications, and design criteria
- Analyze GMD Ground System Performance Specification and other requirements documentation, review the development contractor Joint Review Packages (JRP) for decomposition of requirements, and provide recommendations on acceptance of the proposed verification strategy
- Confirm the verification strategy for the requirement set is clearly articulated, complete, correct, consistent, and achievable
- Review GMD Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and Objective Evidence artifacts, and provide comments and recommendations for concurrence or guidance
- Support the government in preparation, conduct, and after-action responsibilities for Sprint reviews, program management reviews, system requirements reviews, design reviews, project status reviews, test events, fielding readiness reviews, and operational readiness reviews
Qualifications:
- Must have a MS degree (STEM preferred) + 12 years of experience; or BS degree (STEM preferred) at least 20+ years of experience
- Must have direct experience with requirements verification.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and DOORS.
- Must have the ability to develop and present technical reports and briefings including support to the Engineering Review Boards (ERB), other Stakeholder coordination, and Operational Capability List (OCL) approval process.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in STEM, preferred.
- Direct experience in digital engineering/DevSecOps development projects, preferred.
- Top Secret clearance, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active Secret security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel required; 10% or less
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
