Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Strategic Capture Manager (Air Force) to support a company focused on delivering advanced technology solutions across the Department of Defense. This position is on-site within the National Capital Region (NCR). The Strategic Capture Manager will lead high-value capture efforts across the Department of the Air Force, driving opportunity shaping, teaming, and proposal execution for complex pursuits. This role directly supports mission-critical Air Force modernization initiatives in AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and digital transformation

Responsibilities for the Strategic Capture Manager include:
- Leading the full capture lifecycle for complex Air Force opportunities, from early shaping through proposal submission
- Developing and executing capture strategies aligned to mission needs, funding profiles, and acquisition pathways
- Building and managing cross-functional capture teams including business development, solution architects, pricing, contracts, proposals, and delivery
- Conducting competitive analysis and developing win themes and value propositions that clearly differentiate offerings
- Cultivating trusted relationships with Air Force customers and strategic industry partners
Required Qualifications for the Strategic Capture Manager include:
- 10+ years of Capture Management experience within the Defense market, including 5+ years supporting the Air Force
- Experience with major federal contract vehicles and acquisition methods (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, OTAs)
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or Shipley certification preferred
- Currently in Capture / BD, owning pursuits end-to-end
- Experience at a mid-size GovCon (hands-on, not delegating)
- Active clearance (TS/TS-SCI preferred)
- Strong, current customer network (not aged out)
Compensation for the Strategic Capture Manager include:
- Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 depending on experience
