Job Description

TIAG is seeking a highly specialized and experienced Lenel Systems Administrator to manage and maintain mission-essential Electronic Security Systems (ESS) for our Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This key role is responsible for the optimal performance, configuration, and security posture of the enterprise-level Lenel Access Control System (LCS) and its associated server and database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure system availability and enforce security policies in a rigorous, high-security environment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage, maintain, and secure the Lenel Access Control System (LCS) application servers, controllers, and database infrastructure (SQL Server).
  • Design, configure, and implement new system settings, including access levels, credential formats, alarm processing, and system integrations to meet DoD security policies.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for system-level issues related to software malfunctions, network communication, and database connectivity.
  • Implement and enforce security policies within the Lenel system, ensuring compliance with physical and logical access controls and security accreditation standards.
  • Oversee the administration of all system users, security operators, and physical access credentials (e.g., badges, CAC/PIV integration).
  • Plan and execute system backups, disaster recovery procedures, patch management, and major software/firmware upgrades for the Lenel platform.
  • Maintain rigorous, compliant records of all system configurations, security policies, and procedural documentation.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% CONUS for system audits, upgrades, and support; opportunity for OCONUS travel.


Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred)
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of an enterprise-level Access Control System, with a specific focus on Lenel OnGuard.
  • Active Lenel Certified Professional (LCP) or equivalent advanced Lenel technical certification is required.
  • Expertise in Windows Server Operating Systems and SQL Server database management as it relates to the Lenel application.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and system hardening in a DoD environment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals and system architecture diagrams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an additional 4 years of equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with other ESS components and vendors such as Milestone VMS, Bosch, HID, or Life Safety Power.
  • Experience with Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) supporting the Lenel server environment
