Job Description

This position requires an active TS/SCI w CI Poly security clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer. In this role, you will herald a transformative era in software engineering, one that underscores the integration of development and operations through a comprehensive Infrastructure platform.

This is an onsite role based in Aurora, CO.

Day in the Life:

• Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure
• Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines
• Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutions
• Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management
• Provide operational support for the platform
• Providing the design, development, implementation, and integration of a computer/network/storage infrastructure, as well as support modernizing the program platform's over-arching design through new emerging technologies and use of DevOps/DevSecOps tools and automation in-order to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and accelerate the release cycles, thereby driving efficiency and innovation
• Be on a team that is responsible for development and operational environments on a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• United States Citizen
• Active and Current TS/SCI / CI Poly issued security clearance
• BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics
• 5 years of related work experience
• Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
• Experience with RedHat Linux

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab)
• Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
• Experience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework
• Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT level II requirements (Security + CE or equivalent)

Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.

Full benefits: $132,000 to $170,000 annually

Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision): Up to $184,000 annually
