Description:You will be the Airframe Structural Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) which is responsible for delivering cutting-edge airframe solutions.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the Airframe Structural Design Engineer you will be responsible for applying advanced technical expertise to solve aircraft structural design challenges and contribute to the success of high-impact development programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create and modify primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Develop, test, and validate aircraft structural designs.
- Assist in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans.
- Coordinate with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and interact with external IPTs and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience in airframe structure design and analysis
- Experience with CATIA V5
- Experience with 2D Drafting and 3D modeling of detail parts, assemblies, and GD&T
- Experience with Bill of Materials and drawing structure
- Experience with basic hand stress analysis
Desired Skills:
- CATIA 3DX Experience
- Experience with LO coatings and design
- Experience with metallic and composite design
- Experience with MRB coordination and support
- Experience with sheet metal design
- Experience with structural Repair
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
