You will be an Independent Cost Analyst Sr, serving as an analyst at our Grand Prairie, TX location, performing assessments in support of Proposals and CSRs. You will develop independent cost positions for proposals and quarterly CSRs. You will present that information to executive leadership to enable more informed decisions on the financial risks and sensitivities of both new business pursuits and active contracts.

What You Will Be Doing:
As an Independent Cost Evaluation analyst, you will be responsible for applying your skills and experience to independently evaluate risks and opportunities for various programs and proposals in support of the executive decision-making process. Specific responsibilities include:

-Proposal Analysis: Prepare Independent Cost Evaluation assessments based on historical data. Evaluate the scope of work, supplier proposals, schedule, and technical data. Identify similar-to historical programs and develop metrics to create a nominal and conservative position. Throughout the assessment, identify risks and opportunities to the proposal team. Reconcile estimate and support all levels of EPP reviews.

-Program Execution/Backlog Programs: As a part of the quarterly CSR process, evaluate technical, cost, and schedule risks along with historical trends to provide nominal and conservative positions for on-going programs. This will include working with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Finance & Business Operations (F&BO). Present the quarterly positions to various levels of leadership within MFC and also the Corporate Independent Cost Evaluation Director.

-Team Projects: Support projects within the Independent Cost Evaluation team to improve our financial models, methodologies, and metrics.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree or higher from accredited college in a related discipline.
-Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
-Strong critical thinking skills.
-Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
-Strong in Microsoft Office Suite Products with an emphasis on Excel.
-Strong financial modeling skills.
-Effective presentation and communication skills.
-Demonstrated analytical skills through experience within F&BO functions (Contracts, FP&A, Program Finance, Estimating, Independent Cost Evaluation or any other related areas)
Desired Skills:
-Familiarity with Lockheed Martin MFC product portfolio.
-Experience building cost/risk spreadsheet models.
-Experience with the LM proposal process and/or CSR process.
-Familiarity with different contract types (FFP, FP, CP, etc.).
-Ability to summarize complex data to present to leadership.
-LM Data Systems Experience (SAP, EFS, ProPricer, Oracle, etc.).
-Experience with the principles of statistics/regression analysis.
-Technical acumen or experience in engineering or data science/analytics.
-Familiarity with the 1LMX rate structure.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
