Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an Audio Visual Engineer to support a mission-focused Intelligence Community (IC) customer based in Washington, DC . This position is a full-time, onsite role supporting secure, multi-classification environments. The Audio Visual Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex AV solutions that enable secure collaboration and operational effectiveness for government stakeholders.

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an Audio Visual Engineer to support a mission-focused Intelligence Community (IC) customer based in Washington, DC . This position is a full-time, onsite role supporting secure, multi-classification environments. The Audio Visual Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex AV solutions that enable secure collaboration and operational effectiveness for government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey, plan, design, configure, and test multi-classification audiovisual systems tailored to government and IC customer environments
- Create custom AV system designs, including DSP layouts, signal flow architectures, and system configurations
- Participate in customer and stakeholder meetings to gather, document, and validate system requirements
- Research, evaluate, and recommend AV technologies and solutions to meet customer mission needs
- Prepare detailed system engineering documentation, including:
- Signal flow diagrams
- Line diagrams
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Rack elevations
- Cable plant layouts
- Support and, when required, lead onsite AV system installations and configuration efforts
- Collaborate closely with customer facility teams, subcontractors, and vendors throughout installation and deployment phases
- Conduct thorough in-house testing and perform on-site system commissioning at customer locations
- Assist in developing end-user training materials, as well as operations and maintenance documentation
- Coordinate and execute schedule-driven tasks in dynamic, mission-critical environments
- Continuously enhance technical expertise through training, certifications, and review of relevant industry publications
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret (TS) U.S. Security Clearance , with the ability to obtain SCI post-start
- Hands-on experience with the setup, installation, and support of large-scale AV systems
- Experience directly interfacing with customers and stakeholders
- Proven ability to coordinate or lead schedule-driven technical tasks
Desired Skills & Experience:
- AVIXA certification (CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I preferred)
- Hands-on experience with DSP platforms such as Biamp, QSC, or similar
- Proficiency with AV control systems including Crestron, Extron, or Thinklogical
- Experience using AV design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD and Visio
- Familiarity with secure or classified facility environments is a strong plus
Compensation:
- Level 1: $90,000 - $140,000
- Level 2: $140,000 - $170,000
- Level 3: $170,000 - $210,000
