CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Information & Web Support Specialist join the team in Quantico, VA. In this role, the Information & Web Support Specialist supports the Clients' Operations Center by managing information dissemination, maintaining knowledge databases, and developing web content. This role is crucial for ensuring that operational information is effectively controlled, reported, and accessible to higher headquarters and fleet customers.
Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense's (DoD) GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran's Affairs' (VA) telehealth communications. Responsibilities
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-
- Assist in creating, developing, and adhering to the Operations Center's information management plan.
- Maintain the knowledge database in accordance with government policies and procedures, including initial and annual reviews.
- Facilitate meetings between IT technical support sections, including producing agendas and meeting minutes.
- Design and manage websites using SharePoint, Power Apps, Java, OneNote, and HTML to support organizational strategies and goals.
- Provide graphical design support for mass communications, briefings, presentations, and instructional materials.
- Perform website editorial activities, including gathering and researching information to enhance site value.
- Develop web content and support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Operations Center's websites and collaboration platforms.
Qualifications
Required Experience, Certifications, and Education:
- IAT II (CCNA Security, CYSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, SSCP)
- Possess IT Infrastructure Library Foundations certification (ITILv4 or higher)
- Experience in web development, content management, and information management, preferably within a DoD environment.
- Proficiency in web development technologies such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Java, and HTML.
- Experience with graphic design for presentations and communications.
- Strong knowledge of information and knowledge management principles.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ITIL v4 framework.
- Experience working in a military Operations Center.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Environmental Conditions: General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.
- Strength Demands: 10 lbs. maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.
- Physical Requirements: Occasionally required to stand; frequently required to walk and sit. Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Continually required to talk or hear. Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
