We are seeking an Engineering Technician (Production Support) to support Production operations at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD).
This role focuses on real-time production visibility, issue resolution, and coordination across multiple stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted Abrams platform production and sustainment.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education, an associate's degree in a technical science field or some classes in engineering at an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years specialized experience in working with/on tracked or wheeled combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity, working directly with PM offices, and working onsite at military installations.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an Engineering Technician (Production Support) to support Production operations at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD).
This role focuses on real-time production visibility, issue resolution, and coordination across multiple stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted Abrams platform production and sustainment.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Status Reporting: Communicate program status to production based on on-site observations and activities at ANAD.
- Issue Resolution: Develop and implement solutions to communication gaps and program execution challenges.
- Production Monitoring: Track day-to-day status of potential line stoppers and critical part shortages.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Interface with TACOM item managers, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Service Supply Activities, General Dynamics Anniston Operations (GDAO), and Process Action Teams.
- Problem Management: Support resolution of integration, schedule, quality, manufacturing, and production program issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent communication via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams to ensure alignment across all organizations.
- LRU Testing & Repair: Test, troubleshoot, and repair FMS GFM LRUs (e.g., Digital Electronic Control Units, cables, harnesses) while maintaining compliance with supplier warranty requirements.
- Production Support: Provide functional LRUs to support assembly line operations and minimize production disruptions.
- Fielding Preparation: Test and prepare LRUs for shipment in support of system fielding requirements.
- Inventory Management: Sort, inventory, and manage excess GFM hardware; coordinate disposition actions with GDLS and separate unused materials from production kits.
- Technical Support: Provide hands-on support to the assembly line for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), including identifying and resolving issues.
- Spare Parts Coordination: Order and track replacement parts damaged during assembly or material handling at JSMC.
- Verification Support: Assist with verifying receipt of armor deliveries and related materials.
