Information Assurance Technician - Clearance Required

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Information Assurance Technicians to support NAVSEA Professional Support Services for Engineering Support by performing cybersecurity operations, vulnerability assessments, and system security compliance activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Performs vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses.
• Assists in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Monitors systems for security breaches and intrusions.
• Responds to security incidents and supports remediation efforts.
• Conducts security awareness training.
• Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, DoD policies).
• Maintains security documentation and supports cybersecurity operations.

Here's what you need (Required Qualifications):

• A high school degree, or a GED, and ten (10) years of relevant experience in information assurance assessment or related functional area, OR
  • a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of relevant experience in information assurance assessment or related functional area, OR
  • a master's degree in a relevant field.

Bonus Points If You Have (Desired Qualifications):

• Experience with security assessment tools and techniques and certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISA.

Security Clearance:

• Interim or Active Secret

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with additional years of experience, or a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, as outlined under the required qualifications for the applicable level.

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, o n-site at the Navy Yard, Washington, D.C.

Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000-160,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
