Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Technical Design 2's for a contract opportunity in Hill AFB, UT.
100% onsite
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Active Secret Security Clearance is required for this position. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Experience with Computer Aided Design tools (AutoCAD, CATIA, & NX). Experience in Microsoft tools (Word, Power Point, Excel). Ability to read, interpret, and following blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures. Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Technical Designer is needed to support the Minuteman program out of Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) located in Ogden, UT. This position will be responsible for performing design, drafting, and configuration management tasks associated with Engineering Data. This includes creating new, or revision of existing drawings, 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) Modeling, configuration management of drawings, etc. The Technical Designer will meet regularly with program managers and leads to coordinate workload and priorities.
-Design, develop, and maintain engineering drawings. -Prepare design layouts and modify existing designs. -Investigates and resolves moderately complex manufacturing process, or engineering related issues. -Verify accuracy of engineering data produced by others. -Revise and maintain standard operating procedures for technical design. -3D Model existing equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in Design Engineering. Experience effectively communicating and collaborating with multi-discipline teams. Experience with identifying required material types for parts and components. Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test).
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
