Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include the following:
- Provide liaison services and coordinate with the lead medical provider on the most difficult case files
- Facilitate case management initiatives and deployment operations
- Coordinate with Medical Records to process medical records to and from mobilization site prior to soldier mobilization date
- Review MEDCOM policy and SOP to ensure compliance to current standards and initiate corrective actions as needed
- Verify accuracy of MEDPROS data before Medical Readiness Events to allow for early identification of non-deployable Soldiers
- Conduct monthly case review with representatives of the VTARNG Commands and Health Services with support from the DSS
- Provide case management support to mobilizations, including MHS GENESIS records review, SRP level 1 and level 2 attendance, and support at Mobilization Station as determined by the Office of the State Surgeon
Knowledge and Qualifications
- Active state license in good standing in the state of Vermont
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited nursing program
- Strong clinical knowledge, patient management skills and proficiency in medical record software
- Prior or current experience providing medical management services to military personnel, preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse
- Active Secret Clearance
- Knowledge and experience providing quality customer service to Government employees, military personnel, contractors, and/or visitors
