The United States Space Force (USSF) Cape Cod Space Force Station, MA is searching for a Quality Assurance Specialist (CE Focused), (NH-0801-02, GS-05/11 Equivalent).
Description:
Performs quality assurance evaluation and documentation of contractor performance. Performs inspection duties in Civil Engineering, Facility Operations, Project Development, Project Management, Power Production, Supply, Severable Work Orders, Traffic Management Services, Quality Program and other assigned areas.
Utilizes a variety of administrative, analytical and technical methods and techniques to ensure quality and reliability of services. Independently locates, develops and evaluates data and makes recommendations or initiates action on the basis of study findings.
Acts as liaison between Commander, Deputy Commander, Contracting Officer, Contractor and Contractors Representative. Participates in meetings with Contractor, Contracting Officer and key Space Force employees to resolve problem areas, discuss procedures and review contractor responses and performance.
Prepares and provides briefings to various levels of management and contractor personnel. Uses multiple office automation software to provide a wide range of documents that require complex formats such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts and updating or revising existing data bases or spreadsheets.
Ideal Candidate:
To perform quality assurance evaluation of contractor work involved in the inspection, evaluation, deficiency and trend
analysis, configuration control, time compliance, technical order publications management, production analysis, training support, monitoring
of expenditures for Maintenance and operations in support of the AN/FPS Phased Array Radar System and all associated ancillary equipment.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge and application of quality assurances/control methods, principles and practices, including statistical analysis and sampling techniques to plan, develop, and implement quality assurance programs involving the maintenance and operation of a phased array radar system and software support systems. 2. Thorough knowledge of maintenance, operation and overhaul of phased-array and/or heavy ground radar systems.
3. Working knowledge of test equipment, maintenance techniques and procedures related to organizational/field maintenance of heavy ground radar systems.
4. Skill in the operation of phased-array radar and software support system.
5. Ability to make/accept/reject decisions on contractor performance based on quality assurance principles.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, sufficient to make presentations and recommendations to contractors and military personnel at various command levels.

- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- PCS/Incentive funding is not authorized.
- May include but not limited to additional duty roles of Alternate Security Assistant and Mission Partner Identity, Credential, and Access Management (MP ICAM).
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 10 days a year.
