Overview
As a key member of the SET team supporting the Space Sensing Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that comply with DoD and U.S. Space Force policies and guidance. You will frequently interact with Space Force/Air Force and DoD tools such as Task Management Tool (TMT) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to initiate, track, and close out taskers across directorate, SSC, and Space Force Command.

Responsibilities
- Core Responsibilities:
- Public Release Coordination (Security & Policy Review)
- Coordinate submission and tracking of materials through the Security and Policy Review (S&PR) process
- Ensure compliance with public affairs, security, and policy requirements prior to external release
- Interface with Public Affairs and other stakeholders to resolve comments and adjudicate feedback
- Maintain visibility on approval timelines and status of all pending releases
- Executive Communications & Writing Support:
- Draft, edit, and maintain Bullet Background Papers (BBPs) supporting PEO-level engagements
- Incorporate stakeholder inputs and track revisions across multiple versions
- Ensure messaging alignment with strategic priorities and leadership intent
- Maintain version control and document change history
- Strategic Engagement Tracking
- Track, document, and compile Space Sensing Directorate "Wins" for leadership reporting and strategic messaging
- Maintain organized records of engagements, outcomes, and key highlights
- Support development of briefing materials summarizing organizational impact
- Communications Planning Support:
- Assist in development and coordination of Communications Plans (Comm Plans)
- Align messaging across internal teams, Public Affairs, and leadership
- Track execution of communication actions and deliverables
- Request for Information (RFI) & Media Query Support
- Respond to RFIs and coordinate inputs from subject matter experts
- Support responses to media queries in coordination with Public Affairs
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all external-facing information
- Acquisition Documentation Review:
- Review acquisition and program documentation for clarity, accuracy, and completeness
- Provide comments and recommended edits within CRMS (or applicable tracking systems)
- Ensure documentation aligns with program objectives and policy requirements
- Outputs / Deliverables:
- Approved public release materials
- Bullet Background Papers (BBPs)
- Communications Plans
- RFI and media query responses
- Acquisition document review comments
- Directorate "Wins" tracking and summaries
Skills Required

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

- Organizational and tracking skills across multiple concurrent tasks

- Task tracking systems (e.g., Microsoft Planner, internal tasking tools)
- CRMS (for acquisition document review and comment adjudication)
- Collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint)
- BA/BS degree required
- US citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Salary Range: $80,000- $100,000, DOE
