Software Developer

Tyto Athene is searching for a Software Developer to support a DoD customer in Adelphi, Maryland.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Software Developer is responsible for the development, support, and modernization of the CSSP's custom software portfolio, primarily deployed in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) infrastructure.
• This position leads software development efforts for critical cyber defense applications including Interrogator (GOTS network intrusion detection architecture), CSSP Subscriber Manager (CSM), RMF Writer, and other mission-essential tools supporting defensive cyber operations.

Qualifications

Required:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field is required, however, can be replaced with 3 years of relevant industry experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience requirement).
• Minimum seven (10) years of software development experience.
• Expert proficiency in Python, PHP, JavaScript, C/C++, and/or Java.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and database design/management.
• Experience developing applications for RHEL and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices and DoD security requirements.
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) frameworks and data analytics.
• Proficiency with web application frameworks (Laravel, NodeJS, React, Angular).
• Experience with version control systems (Git, BitBucket) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Atlassian products (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence) for project management and documentation.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• ITIL Foundations certification required within three (3) months of start date.

Certifications:

• IAT II: Security, CySA, SSCP, CCNA Security, GSEC, IAT III: CISSP, CASP+, CISA, GCED, GCIH

Clearance:

• TS/SCI Clearance required.
