PowerApps & SharePoint Developer (DoD – Secret Cleared)
Summary Overview:
TEKsystems is seeking a DoD Secret-cleared, IAT III–certified PowerApps and SharePoint
Developer to support the U.S. Marine Corps S-6 organization in Iwakuni, Japan. This role
focuses on designing, developing, and sustaining secure web services, Power Platform
applications, and data dashboards within an IL5 environment. You will leverage Microsoft
technologies including SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, and modern web development
frameworks to help the Marines better use data as a mission-critical asset.
Location & Work Environment:
• On-site in Iwakuni, Japan
• Directly supporting Marine Corps S-6 stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• IAT Level III certification (DoD 8570/8140 compliant)
• Microsoft Foundations certification or ITIL Foundations certification
• 10+ years of total IT experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering solutions across:
– Web Development
– SharePoint Development
– Power Apps Development
– Power BI Development
Core Responsibilities:
-Web Development
• Develop secure, responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Build backend services using .NET Core, Java Spring Boot, or Python Django
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, SAML)
• Work with DoD-approved databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Deploy applications within IL5 cloud environments (e.g., Azure Government)
• Apply secure coding practices and SDLC principles
• Mitigate common web vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards
-SharePoint Development
• Develop and customize SharePoint Server solutions within an IL5 environment
• Build client-side web parts and extensions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
• Customize sites using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell
• Configure permissions, access controls, and governance policies
• Implement data loss prevention (DLP) and monitor audit logs
• Perform sustainment activities including patching, monitoring, and backups
-Power Apps Development
• Design and develop Power Apps (canvas and model-driven)
• Use Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, and SQL Server as data sources
• Integrate Power Apps with Power Automate, SharePoint, and Power BI
• Enforce security, permissions, and DLP policies
• Maintain applications, resolve defects, and support end users
• Provide limited user training and sustainment support
-Power BI Development
• Develop data models and dashboards using Power BI Desktop
• Create DAX calculations and data transformations
• Publish and manage reports in Power BI Pro
• Implement row-level security (RLS)
• Embed Power BI dashboards into SharePoint and Power Apps
• Monitor data refreshes and report performance
