Description:This Engineering Aide Senior position is within the Low Observable (LO) Materials team. The selected candidate will have demonstrated experience in LO material fabrication with an understanding of how those materials translate to application methods. The candidate should have a deep understanding of blueprint interpretation, along with being able to work to Technical Orders and apply sound technical judgement in supporting necessary revisions.
In this position, you will provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks to include:
• Working in a laboratory setting which requires the individual to utilize and maintaining standard laboratory equipment and work spaces
• Adhering to lab safety practices, including use of a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Having an established understanding of standard shop machinery
• Working with hazardous materials in the manufacturing of developmental products for engineering evaluation
• Performing mathematical calculations using established formulas
• Maintaining proper documentation of records and logs
• Maintaining strict attention to detail including following written engineering direction
• Will be expected to work with both internal and external customers to meet deliverable timelines that can shift based upon priority level

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma
3+ years of experience related to LO materials (epoxies, RAMs, primers, pastes, etc.)
Desired Skills:
Experience reading, reviewing, and interpreting drawings/work orders/specifications
Experience applying LO materials (spray, paste, roll, etc.)
Capable of operating spray equipment (HVLP, pressure pots, etc.)
Familiar with RCS testing and properties
Ability to create new processes and improve existing processes for materials and process team
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
