Job Description

Markon is seeking a CNO Developer to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cyber capabilities for mission-critical national security programs. This role focuses on building and maintaining software solutions that operate across complex systems and networks. The developer will work in a collaborative environment to solve challenging technical problems and deliver effective cyber capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software-based CNO capabilities
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
  • Develop and implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional requirements
  • Program using languages such as C, C++, and Python
  • Analyze system behavior and support development across operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, mobile, or network devices)
  • Apply knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP) in software development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex systems and applications
  • Develop data queries for databases and data repositories as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-focused solutions


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph through this Customer
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 9+ years of experience, or High School diploma and 9+ years of experience
  • Experience with Python and/or C/C++ programming
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging software systems
  • Understanding of operating system fundamentals (Windows, Linux, or similar)
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing CNO capabilities or cyber tools.
  • Experience with software analysis, vulnerability research, or reverse engineering.
  • Understanding of assembly language concepts.
  • Experience developing unit and integration tests.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible).
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PCEP, C++ certifications, security-related certifications).


Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
