Senior Analyst

Overview

Senior Analyst:

Bowhead is seeking a highly experienced Senior Analyst to support an upcoming effort at NAWCAD in Patuxent River, MD. This role serves as a strategic leader responsible for guiding analytical approaches, shaping project direction, and delivering high-impact solutions in support of mission-critical objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of advanced analytical techniques to support program objectives and strategic decision-making
• Define project scope, objectives, and analytical methodologies in alignment with client mission needs
• Provide leadership and vision to client stakeholders and internal project teams regarding analytic approaches and execution
• Resolve complex, high-visibility problems requiring deep expertise in analytical methods, frameworks, and best practices
• Direct and oversee the work of junior analysts and support staff, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables
• Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership
• Support program management activities, including planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
• Ensure all work products meet government standards, compliance requirements, and contractual obligations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience and a Master's degree (MA/MS) OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 additional years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated expertise in applying analytical methodologies to solve complex problems
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage analytical efforts across multiple stakeholders
• Experience supporting high-visibility or mission-critical programs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to brief senior government and contractor leadership
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting naval aviation, test & evaluation, or acquisition programs
• Familiarity with NAWCAD operations, processes, or systems
• Prior experience in a government consulting or defense contracting environment

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
