Duties
Help
  • You will serve as division head for the responsible for oversight and management of all Security program detachments and test sites.
  • You will be required to supervise other subject matter experts of these traditional security programs.
  • You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Evaluate work performance of subordinates.
  • You will ensure the management, oversight and compliance of the Command Personnel Security Program (PSP) requirements.
  • You will ensure the employee's eligibility for access to classified NSI or assignment to sensitive duties, and implementation of the Command Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP) and Insider Threat Program.
  • You will ensure the management, oversight and compliance of the Command Physical Security Program.
  • You will require to provide briefs to leadership for assessing the reliability, loyalty, suitability, and trustworthiness for employee access to classified material.
  • You will be required to have proficiency and ability to management a team of Subject Matter experts in daily duties to meet security mission requirements.
  • You will apply procedures for the safeguarding of information, personnel, property, assets, and/or material from theft, loss, misuse, fraud, disclosure, espionage, or sabotage.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Position is part of the Department of Defense Security Professional Educational Development certification program. Selectee required to obtain certification within 2 years of placement and will maintain the certification while in position.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: direct and lead subordinate staff in the understanding of security concepts, principles and practices as it relates (i.e.: information, personnel, physical, operations, industrial and communications security, anti-terrorism/force protection, and emergency management), to identify potential security problems, conduct analysis and risk assessment, and make recommendations to management for resolution or corrective action.

This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) certification program. The selectee is required to obtain Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC) Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) certification within two years (24 months) of placement in the position and maintain the certification as long as they remain in the position.

This position requires exposure to high noise levels.
