Job Description
The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking a Jr. Security Sector Assistance (SA) Program Coordinator to serve within the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Security Assistance (PM/SA). The successful candidate will help SA manage the Department's concurrence on over $1 billion in DOD security cooperation authorities (e.g., Title 10, Section 333, Section 331, and Section 1256) requiring signoff from senior Department of State leadership.

This role requires effective communication and coordination between a diverse array of subject matter experts and senior stakeholders across both the Departments of State and Defense. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining security assistance metrics trackers, conducting desk-based research and analysis, and coordinating and participating during meetings with senior leaders.

Position Requirements:
- At least two (2+) years' experience working on budget and fiscal processes for large-scale programs, preferably with the Department of State and/or the Department of Defense.
- At least four (4+) years' experience with, and in-depth knowledge of, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience providing timely narrative and data-driven responses to requests for information or reporting requests.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks and processes simultaneously.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with experience presenting complex information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. The government may require writing samples.
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience working with the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of War.
- Familiarity with Security Cooperation Information Portal (SCIP), the DoW Security Assistance Network (SanWeb), or DoW's system of record for security cooperation SOCIUM.
- Familiarity with USG financial management systems such as State's GFMS or DoW's Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS).
- Familiarity with Title 10 authorities and programs, such as Sections 333, 331, or 1263 and other U.S. security assistance processes and procedures.
- Experience with advanced analytic tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerBI.
Certifications and Education:
- BA/BS in international relations, political science, economics, or a related field.
