Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a C2 Systems Integrator Team Lead to support Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity and the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton.
This is not a traditional engineering role. This position is for someone who understands how tactical communications systems actually operate in the field and can bring systems, teams, and mission requirements together.
You will serve as the bridge between operators, engineers, and leadership, ensuring communication systems are integrated, functional, and aligned to mission needs.
Supports the Marine Corps’ evolving Command and Control (C2) ecosystem, enabling a resilient, distributed, and data-centric operational capability for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). This role directly supports the integration, sustainment, and operational employment of C2 systems across the Fleet Marine Force, aligned to the Marine Corps’ transition toward a consolidated C2 portfolio and modernized digital battlefield.
The position focuses on integrating legacy and emerging systems, including platforms such as Tactical Assault Kit (TAK), Project MAVEN-enabled capabilities, and Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), along with next-generation small-form-factor compute stacks that support edge processing, sensor fusion, and real-time decision-making in contested environments.
Responsibilities:
-Lead integration of tactical communication systems (RF, SATCOM, networked systems) in support of operational testing and field events
-Translate mission requirements into executable technical plans
-Coordinate across operators, developers, and stakeholders to ensure systems work together in real-world environments
-Oversee a small team supporting C2 system integration and field support
-Support planning and execution of exercises, demonstrations, and test events
-Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across multiple systems under time constraints
-Provide clear communication and briefings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong candidates typically have:
- Background in tactical communications (06XX, 17XX, or similar) or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting C2 systems, tactical networks, or field communications operations
- Proven ability to integrate or coordinate multiple systems at once, not just specialize in one
- Experience leading small teams or coordinating across organizations
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Technical Experience:
- Tactical radios and RF communications
- SATCOM systems
- Tactical networks / data transport
- System interoperability and integration
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and system accreditation
