The Boeing company is currently seeking a Support Engineering Engineer manager to support Boeing Global Services-Global Engineering, USAF Programs E-4B Nightwatch (747-200B) Aging Fleet team in Oklahoma City, OK. This manager will lead approximately 20 employees to perform Reliability & Maintainability, System failure analysis, DMS/Obsolescence support, aircraft paint/corrosion, and engineering liaison support for all E-4B sustainment activities.
Position responsibilities:

- Leads planning and integration activities for stand-alone support programs
- Applies technical knowledge of product support engineering disciplines, One Boeing Production System concepts and Program Management Best Practices to direct Program activities
- Manages employees performing activities related to In-service Engineering, Technical documentation, and on-site Field Engineering support
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals for the E-4B Aging Fleet team
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in post-production sustainment support
- Experience working with teams across multiple geographic locations
- Bachelor's or master's degree from and accredited university
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors or Master of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, or other scientific field of study
- 3+ years of experience as a lead, a supervisor, or a manager
- 3+ years of experience working directly with or on cost reduction initiatives
- 3+ years working Reliability & Maintainability and/or DMS/Obsolescence on aviation relates systems and platforms
- Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment
- Experience collaborating across Boeing functions (engineering, program management, contract, finance, supply chain, supplier management, etc.) and business units (BDS, BGS, BAO, etc.)
- Experience with U.S. Military or international government aviation and experience partnering with government customers to deliver services and product
