Duties
Help
  • Serves as a shift supervisor for one of four shifts or rotating shifts responsible for planning, directing, and reviewing the activities of personnel engaged in the protection and enforcement of a government facility and the property thereon.
  • Executes administrative and personnel management responsibilities related to the accomplishment of the mission assigned.
  • Maintains attendance and work related statistics, prepares police reports, and reviews for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Supervises and directs the activities of subordinates engaged in law enforcement work and security in the protection of life, property, and the civil rights of citizens on a government facility.
  • Serves as a direct representative of the Chief of Security and Law Enforcement, Emergency Services Security (ESS) Receives complaints for assistance, reviews all paperwork obtained during the shift from patrols.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • All applicants are required to successfully complete the Civilian Education System Course and the Supervisory Development Course within 12 months of being assigned to the position. Failure to do so may result in an adverse action.
  • Must qualify for and remain qualified for the Individual Reliability Program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must sign DA Form 5019-R and pass Drug Urinalysis Testing.
  • Must possess a motor vehicle operator's license.
  • This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
  • Incumbent must meet all physical and security requirements of the position IAW AR 190-54.
  • Incumbent will be required to wear personal protective equipment, to include Air Purifying Respirators (APR).
  • Must meet all the requirements of AR 190-56 for the position.
  • Must pass initial and periodic medical examination in accordance with AR 190-56.
  • Must pass initial and annual physical ability and fitness test in accordance with AR 190-56.
  • Must pass semi-annual weapons qualification test.
  • Must meet initial and annual Law Enforcement training and re-certification.
  • Must complete initial and annual CPR recertification and First Aid.
  • Must wear uniform and maintain high state of appearance and hygiene.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and Holidays as required.
  • Must be able to wear chemical protective equipment IAW AR 50-6 Army Chemical Surety Program.
  • Incumbent is subject to possible civil action due to improper exercise of arrest authority or injudicious use of force in the apprehension or detention of individuals.
  • Incumbent is in a designated mission essential position and subject to 24-hour recall.
Qualifications

About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester, OK. This position serves as a Supervisory Police Officer who enforces military, federal and state laws/regulations, detects and investigates crimes, apprehends violators, and performs patrols within the jurisdiction of the military installation.

Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position you must possess one year of specialized experience which includes directing the activities of personnel engaged in the protection and enforcement of laws for an organizational unit.
