1. Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA to manage our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals, with a specific focus on designing and maintaining robust replication strategies to ensure 24/7 data availability and seamless failover.

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA to manage our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals, with a specific focus on designing and maintaining robust replication strategies to ensure 24/7 data availability and seamless failover.
2. Key Responsibilities
- High Availability: Manage HA clusters consisting postgreSQL DB instances maintained as Kubernetes pods
- Performance Tuning: Optimize complex queries, index usage, and memory settings
- Disaster Recovery: Maintain rigorous backup and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) strategies
- Monitoring: Monitor proactive alerting for replication lag, memory usage and licensing
- Upgrades: Execute major and minor version upgrades with minimal downtime
3. Technical Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience managing production PostgreSQL environments with replication using EPRS a plus
- Replication Expertise: Proven experience with WAL (Write-Ahead Logging), replication slots etc
- Strong understanding of Linux
