About the Job
SecureStrux is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support a portfolio of compliance programs supporting the Department of War and Defense Industrial Base. You will work closely with our team of Program Managers to build, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), track performance, and support program reporting and deliverable requirements.

The Work You'll Do
Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) & Project Controls
- Develop, maintain, and baseline Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using MS Project or equivalent tools.
- Ensure schedule logic, dependencies, critical path, and resource allocations are accurate and compliant with DoD standards.
- Conduct schedule analysis, including what‑if scenarios, risk assessments, and variance tracking.
- Support PMs with project controls activities such as milestone tracking, risk/issue management, and performance reporting.
Customer & Project Coordination
- Coordinate and facilitate project kickoff calls with customers, internal teams, and subcontractors.
- Prepare kickoff briefings, agendas, and supporting materials.
- Support customer-facing meetings, Integrated Product Team (IPT) sessions, and program reviews.
- Assist with out‑briefs, end-of-phase reviews, and program closeout activities.
Deliverables & Quality Assurance
- Review project deliverables for quality, completeness, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Track deliverable deadlines, approvals, and submission workflows.
- Ensure alignment between the IMS, WBS, SOW, and contract deliverables.
Knowledge Management & Documentation
- Maintain a knowledge management system (SharePoint, Teams, or equivalent) for project artifacts, templates, and documentation.
- Ensure version control, document organization, and accessibility across the program team.
- Support the creation and maintenance of project dashboards, action item logs, and reporting templates.
Proposal & Planning Support
- Assist with proposal schedules, BOEs, and planning inputs for new or follow-on work.
- Coordinate data calls and gather technical inputs from SMEs and PMs.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required for DoD contract eligibility).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or program analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project (mandatory) and familiarity with schedule logic, dependencies, and critical path analysis.
- Understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle, contract structures, and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple Project Managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD, defense contracting, or government programs.
- Experience with TeamBook, Teams Scheduling or other scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of WBS development, SOW interpretation, and contract deliverables management.
- Experience supporting proposals or capture activities.
- Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, or DAWIA are a plus.
