DESCRIPTION OF POSITION / DUTIES:
All Points is seeking a Cleared Software Engineer - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Chantilly, VA. The selected candidate will support mission-critical IT systems, applications, and initiatives across a multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret).
This team is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of enterprise applications used by law enforcement, intelligence, legal, and administrative personnel. These systems are critical to the FBI mission and require highly skilled engineering support to ensure performance, scalability, and operational continuity across complex environments.

The Software Engineer SME will serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, testing, and managing complex application development efforts. This role includes integration of third-party components, development of new capabilities, enhancement of existing systems, and automation of operations and maintenance activities, with a strong emphasis on front-end development leadership and enterprise application delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects in support of enterprise IT systems
• Serve as a senior or lead front-end developer, driving user interface design and implementation standards
• Integrate third-party components and introduce new custom capabilities
• Modify existing code and recommend process improvements
• Automate operations and maintenance tasks across systems
• Design and implement solutions supporting large-scale data processing and advanced analytics
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
• Participate in technical project milestone reviews and code architecture discussions
• Provide resource estimation and development best practices knowledge transfer
• Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
• Support applications operating across multi-enclave environments (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery

SAFe 6.0 FACILITATION SUPPORT (contract support PM & Agile team support)
Responsible for guidance and facilitation of SAFe Principles. Plan and manage the work, and values to uphold while promoting alignment, collaboration, and delivery across large numbers of agile teams, currently aligned in two Agile Release Trains. The first aligns teams focused on enabling operational insight by increasing data discoverability through enterprise search or query. The second aligns teams focused on enabling the operational analysis and triage of data through visualization, enrichments, and analytics within Global Mission Analytics (GMA).

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Front End Lead Developer experience
• Expert Angular knowledge, including Angular Material
• Experience with C# / .NET development
• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch
• Experience as a scrum participant and supporting software release processes
• Ability to support after-hours mission requirements when needed
• Ability to communicate work clearly using structured methodologies (e.g., SMART)
• Understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience developing enterprise-level applications
• Strong understanding of complex system architecture and design

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED)
• Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools
• Experience with performance optimization and scalability design
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience with GraphQL and microservices architecture
• Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Splunk or Elasticsearch

EDUCATION:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline required

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
  • 10-15+ years

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • ACTIVE, CURRENT, AND FULLY ADJUDICATED US DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY IS REQUIRED

COMPENSATION:
$180,000 - $190,000 annually (based on experience and alignment)
