Location: Misawa Air Base (OCONUS - Japan)

Reports To: Lead Escort
Position Summary

Cleared Escort Officials provide continuous, non-personal escort services to ensure secure access, movement, and activities of visitors and construction personnel within restricted and controlled areas on Misawa Air Base.
Key Responsibilities

• Escort visitors and construction personnel from access points to work sites and return
• Maintain constant visual surveillance and positive control of escorted personnel
• Verify identities and required documentation prior to granting access
• Inspect vehicles and hand-carried items entering restricted areas
• Brief escorted personnel on local safety, security, and flightline requirements
• Detect and report suspicious behaviors, security violations, or unsafe practices
• Ensure escorted personnel are never left unattended
• Coordinate entry and exit procedures with Entry Controllers as required
• Operate a Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) to transport escorted personnel when required
• Comply with all base traffic, safety, and escort program rules

Required Qualifications

• Tier‑1 (NACI) background investigation (current and in scope)
• Valid Misawa Air Base Restricted Area Badge (RAB)
• Designation under the 35th Fighter Wing Escort Program
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Ability to qualify for and maintain flightline driving privileges (max 3 attempts)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physically capable of working extended hours in construction and flightline environments

Required Training (Government or Contractor Coordinated)

• Escort Official / Security Education Training
• Flightline driving training
• Anti‑Terrorism Level I (initial and annual refresher)
• OPSEC Level I (initial and annual refresher)
