Materials / Inventory Specialist

San Antonio, TX

$27.22/Hour

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:
  • Route materials to designated storage locations following established storage procedures.
  • Conduct inventory checks and report material deterioration, damage, or discrepancies.
  • Pull, issue, package, and prepare materials for shipment.
  • Review production schedules to determine material and hardware needs.
  • Analyze inventory, material requirements, schedules, and configuration control issues to resolve shortages or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate solutions to material problems while supporting quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
  • Order parts, tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety, tool control, FOD, housekeeping, inventory control, facilities, contracts, and related procedures.
  • Perform duties while wearing required personal protective equipment and safety gear.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision or management.


Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-4 years of experience in warehouse inventory, parts control, material handling, or inventory accountability.
  • Computer experience and competency.
  • Current forklift license or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required training certifications.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception testing.
  • Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs.; occasional two-person lifts may be required for items over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including ladders, confined spaces, elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and areas with frequent noise exposure.
  • Ability to work all assigned shifts and perform duties in varying weather, physical locations, and site conditions.
