Job Title: Cribl Engineer – Hybrid (Secret Clearance)
Position Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $77,600 – $176,000 annually (dependent on experience)
Location: Fort Meade, MD (Hybrid)
Years of Experience Required: 3+ years

Overview
We are seeking a Cribl Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise cybersecurity and data pipeline solutions. This role focuses on enabling secure, scalable log management and cyber defense capabilities across complex environments.
This is an opportunity to work on advanced security operations, including threat detection, log analysis, and network monitoring, within a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Cribl
• Configure and manage log ingestion, routing, and transformation across multiple data sources
• Support implementation of enterprise cybersecurity tools and monitoring solutions
• Analyze logs and network data to identify threats, anomalies, and vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and visibility
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cyber defense technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls)
• Ensure systems align with security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., STIGs, SCAP)
• Troubleshoot system issues and optimize performance across distributed environments
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience with Cribl administration and engineering
• Experience building and managing data pipelines
• Experience working with Windows and Linux systems (installation, configuration, maintenance)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and frameworks (e.g., STIGs, SCAP)
• Experience supporting or contributing to cyber engineering projects
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
• High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Kubernetes or containerized environments
• Exposure to big data analytics, machine learning, or anomaly detection
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Perl)
• Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment
• Ability to automate security configurations and implement remediation strategies
