Position Title: Business Analyst- Level III
Directorate of Surgical Services, ENT at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC)
Location: Bethesda, MD
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am to 4:30pm, Excluding Federal Holidays
40 work hours w/ additional required 30min break
Position Description: Solutions71 is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Directorate of Surgical Services and Walter Reed Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD. The Business Analyst will work with the DoD ENT JIF Program Manager to deliver a functional operating manual for building a robust DoD/VA sharing program leveraging Virtual Health for complex specialty care.
The Business Analyst will provide knowledge in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts or in translating business process needs into technical requirements. This will include implementation of a comprehensive management plan for each project and holding regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress. The Business Analyst, III also determines and documents user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects.
In addition to Business Analyst activities, they also use clinical systems to manage the day-to-day activity of the program including scheduling patients, coordinating with providers and with the External Partner Referrals Office, and referral administration.
Qualifications:
• Education: Minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience within any government agency demonstrating the required proficiency.
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal skills for presenting detailed results of statistical analysis to colleagues of various backgrounds (clinical, research, and administrative).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software- Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint
• Must be able to pass a rigorous federal background check
• Data Visualization Experience using tools like Tableau, R-Studio, PowerBI or similar preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Provide knowledge in business processes and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts or in translating business processes into technical requirements.
• Use available computer systems resources and personnel to carry out analysis to support management's quest for performance improvement and to determine the most useful business solution.
• Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress.
• Determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects.
• Review and analyze information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes and procedures.
• Provide expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.
• Perform more independent thinking and difficult tasks compared to Level II and may supervise others.
• Work with the DoD ENT JIF Program Manager to deliver a functional operating manual for building a robust DoD/VA sharing program leveraging Virtual Health for complex specialty care.
• Summarize results of statistical analysis and convey meaning to staff of different levels of seniority and various backgrounds (clinicians, administrative staff, and researchers).
• Use clinical systems to manage the day-to-day activity of the program including scheduling patients, coordinating with providers and with the External Partner Referrals Office, and referral administration.
