Job Description
Piper Companies is looking for a Biomechanical Engineer I to join a federal research support company located in Dale County, Alabama.
Responsibilities of the Biomechanical Engineer I include:
· Supporting the design, preparation, execution, and analysis of injury biomechanics RDT&E studies
· Assisting with laboratory and field experimentation, including data acquisition, instrumentation, and analysis
· Providing engineering, analytical, and problem-solving support related to biomechanical, kinematic, and physiologic research
· Conducting hands-on PMHS and volunteer research while supporting SOP development, safety compliance, and documentation
Qualifications for the Biomechanical Engineer I include:
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
· Knowledge of mechanical design, biomedical experimentation, data acquisition, and analysis
· Experience with programming, experimental testing, instrumentation, kinematic analysis, video motion capture, and MATLAB
Compensation for Biomechanical Engineer I includes:
· Rate Range: $33-38/hr, depending on experience
· Comprehensive Benefit Package: Cigna Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as Required by Law
