Job Description
We are seeking a DevOps / Cloud Engineer to design, operate, and scale critical data infrastructure and platform services supporting enterprise applications and development teams. This role focuses on maintaining high-availability distributed systems, enabling secure and automated deployments, and supporting data platforms such as Elasticsearch and MongoDB at scale.
The ideal candidate has strong infrastructure engineering experience, a background supporting development teams, and hands-on expertise with scripting, automation, and production-grade system operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and optimize distributed data platforms including Elasticsearch clusters and MongoDB replica sets
Support scalability, performance tuning, upgrades, and reliability of production data systems
Design and implement infrastructure automation and deployment solutions using DevSecOps practices
Support software development teams by providing reliable CI/CD pipelines, environments, and operational tooling
Develop automation and operational scripts using Bash and Python
Monitor system health, performance, and availability across cloud and on-prem environments
Support system configuration, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for production services
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable and secure system design
Work with structured data formats (including JSON) across services and integrations
Contribute to system security, compliance, and architecture alignment with organizational standards
Requirements:
7+ years of overall IT experience across system administration, software engineering, or DevSecOps engineering
2+ years of experience managing Elasticsearch clusters, MongoDB replica sets, or similar distributed data systems
3+ years of experience supporting software development teams and production environments
2+ years of experience with scripting in Bash and Python
Strong experience working with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and automation tools
Experience operating in production environments with focus on reliability and performance
Preferred Qualifications:
15+ years of overall IT experience across systems, engineering, or DevSecOps roles
5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering role
Hands-on experience managing, upgrading, and scaling Elasticsearch clusters
Experience with Elasticsearch index design, query optimization, and performance tuning
Experience migrating Elasticsearch data across different sharding strategies
Experience with MongoDB replication, sharding, and cluster architecture design
Strong experience working with JSON-based data structures and APIs
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as CloudFormation, Jenkins, and Git-based workflows
Familiarity with AI-based or ML-enabled infrastructure solutions
Experience supporting Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) processes or compliance environments
Strong understanding of distributed system design, scalability, and cloud architecture
