Description:The Handling & Transportation Manager
is responsible for managing the day to day logistic operations of 40 hourly represented and salaried employees at the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic located on Kings Bay Naval Submarine base in support of the Trident II D5 Missile components. This is a full time, on site position that may require some alternate (evening) shift support.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
5 years successful prior/current direct supervision of personnel.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers. Experience with inspections or audits.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to deliver effective presentations. Effective interpersonal skills and team builder.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug screening and background check in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Experience with military procedural disciplines. Specialized weapons or special warfare preferred.
Obtain and maintain eligibility for access into the Navy's Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
Desired Skills:
Thorough knowledge of SWOP requirements for processing Trident II hardware.
Thorough knowledge of equipment, training, and processing techniques used for the Trident II hardware.
Working knowledge of DHB and MTF requirements and techniques.
10 Years proven leadership experience with proven results, process monitor, ordnance handling team member, and nuclear safety representative.
Knowledge of SWFLANT technical program requirements and good working relationships with FBM missile/re-entry body/support equipment technical community.
Experience leading hourly represented personnel in a collective bargaining unit environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
