Expertise and Functions:
- Ensure system changes are completed in accordance with developer documentation, configuration management and documentation practices
- Perform daily hands-on operating and maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing of C2BMC networks
- Configure, install, test, and sustain IT network and boundary protection devices and systems
- Perform technical validation of network designs in accordance with industry best practices and DoD policies and guidelines
- Perform data collection and validation of network services and devices
- Assist integration managers in problem definition and root cause analysis as needed
- Provide timely updates to appropriate team leads, managers and stakeholders on status of tasks and troubleshooting efforts
- Make recommendations to plan, develop and execute work plans that achieve critical-path requirements
- Work with the project team to install and test new hardware as needed for lifecycle management
- Use REMEDY ticketing system to report, track and document problems and resolution life-cycle actions on faulty systems

Education/Training:
- Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) required
- CCNA or JNCIA certification preferred
Experience:
- 4+ years of general (full-time) work experience
- Experience in firewall configuration and troubleshooting required
- Experience with IP addressing, subnetting, and NAT required
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper routers, switches, firewalls required
- Experience configuring OSPF, SNMP, Syslog, VRF, and network timing systems required
- Experience with network monitoring preferred
- Experience using Juniper Apstra to build and deploy network configurations preferred
- Experience with software defined networking, such as VMware NSX preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Visio diagramming preferred
- Knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems and MDIOC operations preferred
Requirements
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Candidate must be in possession of a Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
