Apex Systems is currently hiring for Secret Cleared Electronic Engineer supporting a DoD client in Tucson, AZ.
Number of Openings: 10-30+ (Junior to Senior Level)
Location: Tucson, AZ
Onsite expectation: 100% ONSITE, Monday - Friday
Pay range: $25-60/hr. (Depending on Experience)
Duration: Long Term Contract
MUST HAVES:
• Ability to obtain and obtain Secret Clearance | Bachelor’s Degree & 2-8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
• Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
• Production support engineering experience Electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem
SHIFTS (Ability to work all 3 highly preferred):
• 6AM - 230PM
• 2PM - 1030PM
• 10PM - 630AM
Role Overview
This position supports production hardware as an Electrical Engineer. The role involves quick assessment of problems, identifying necessary information, and creating a path for troubleshooting and resolution. The successful candidate will communicate plans to a cross-functional team, drive issues to completion by coordinating resources, and support the production factory and supplier issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform problem resolution for production factory and supplier issues.
• Troubleshoot failures using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators.
• Maintain the technical data package, including creating and presenting change documentation.
• Take ownership of issues and drive them to completion by coordinating team members and resources.
• Participate in peer reviews of engineering and operations deliverables.
• Analyze defect and yield data to implement process improvements and reduce recurring failures.
Technical Skills:
• Experience with digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed-signal testing and debugging of complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies.
• Production support engineering experience Electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications
• Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), Advanced Design System (ADS), Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer
• Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices
• Self-starter who’s capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team. Providing technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior production support engineering experience.
• Experience in the electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystems.
• Familiarity with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, MATLAB, CST, HFSS, or ADS.
• Experience with subsystems integration and test, post-test flight analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Capability to work independently and as part of a technical team, providing technical oversight and direction.
