Overview
Bowhead seeks a Project Analyst to join our team supporting NIWC Atlantic. The Project Analyst will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.
The Project Analyst will develop, analyze, evaluate, advise on, and/or improve the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management.
This position is 100% onsite. No hybrid/flex or remote work schedules are permitted for this effort.
Responsibilities
• Assist in planning, initiation, and oversight of the projects within the program and provide input/justification for budget requirements and impacts.
• Assist in preparing and formatting briefs.
• Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken to reassess and amend the scope of work requirement, budget, and timeline.
• Implement and manage change when necessary to meet projects outputs.
• Represent team at meetings assuring that priorities are communicated and understood, and that progress, delays, and/or issues are reported.
• Provide input to Weekly Situational Report and Program Management Review briefs.
• Assist in the gathering of fleet requirements and prioritizing Change Requests
• Manage Issues and risk by ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner so the project stays on track.
• Assist in the preparation, maintenance, review, delivery and tracking of acquisition documentation.
• Prepare and deliver agendas and presentation materials, draft meeting minutes, and capture action items for meetings/events.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• BA or BS degree from an accredited college/university.
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Basic familiarity with Navy or Marine Corps programs preferred.
• Basic familiarity with Agile management and development practices.
• Ability to support high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a program and perform functional duties under general guidance and supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a project team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, Government personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and a strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a Secret clearance.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift, move, and position equipment in both indoor and outdoor environments, including on uneven or natural surfaces.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lean, crouch, twist, bend, and squat as needed to inspect or analyze network infrastructure.
• Must be able to work outdoors in deployed environments and perform duties in adverse weather conditions, including cold, rain, snow, and heat.
