Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Communications Network Engineer to support a company focused on delivering secure, mission-critical network solutions to federal government customers. This position is on-site in or Patuxent River, MD. The Communications Network Engineer will be responsible for administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise LAN/BAN/WAN environments while supporting network modernization and operational continuity for critical missions. Responsibilities for the Communications Network Engineer include:
- Evaluating communication hardware and software to ensure optimal network performance and reliability

Required Qualifications for the Communications Network Engineer include:
- 4 years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
- Experience with Layer 2/3 routing, switching, and LAN/BAN/WAN technologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with large-scale integrated networks
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field of study
- Active Secret clearance
- Must possess an IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE)
- Must possess an OEM network support certification such as CCNA (preferred)
- Willingness to travel as required
Compensation for the Communications Network Engineer include:
- Salary Range: Competitive depending on experience
