Strategic Communications Lead

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Strategic Communications Lead to support our client . The Strategic Communications Lead will oversee executive-level communications and stakeholder engagement efforts for a complex federal program, partnering closely with senior government leaders and program leadership to deliver clear, structured, and persuasive narratives that support operational and transformational objectives.

Responsibilities of the Strategic Communications Lead include:

· Develop executive-level briefings, memos, and talking points for senior government and external stakeholders

· Serve as a trusted advisor to program leadership on strategic communications and stakeholder engagement

· Lead and coordinate review cycles of briefing materials across multiple government stakeholders

· Provide structure and governance for executive briefing intake, forums, and communications processes

· Manage and prioritize day-to-day activities of a 2+ person Strategic Communications team

· Craft cohesive narratives translating technical and operational progress into executive-ready presentations

· Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions and alignment discussions across technical and functional teams

Qualifications for the Strategic Communications Lead include:

· 7+ years of experience in strategy and/or communications, preferably supporting federal government programs

· 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience

· Strong expertise in executive communications, including briefing development and senior stakeholder engagement

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with demonstrated ability to build executive narratives

· Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

· Experience using DoD-approved generative AI tools for briefing and content development

· Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Compensation for the Strategic Communications Lead includes:

· Salary Range: $175,000-$190,000 depending on experience
