Strategic Communications Lead

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Strategic Communications Lead to support a company focused on enterprise health IT modernization and mission-critical systems within the federal defense healthcare space. This position is remote.. The Strategic Communications Lead will drive executive-level communications, stakeholder alignment, and narrative development to support transformational objectives for a large federal health IT program. This role plays a key part in ensuring continuity of mission-critical systems that directly support the health and readiness of service members and their families.

Responsibilities for the Strategic Communications Lead include:

• Leading the development of executive-level briefings, memos, and talking points for senior government stakeholders across technical and operational topics
• Serving as a trusted communications partner to program leadership, providing strategic thought partnership and narrative development
• Managing and coordinating day-to-day activities of a small strategic communications team while tracking priorities and deliverables
• Structuring and improving executive briefing intake processes, templates, and stakeholder engagement workflows
• Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and alignment across technical, operational, and leadership teams

Required Qualifications for the Strategic Communications Lead include:

• 7+ years of experience in strategy, communications, or stakeholder engagement, preferably supporting federal government programs
• Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to craft executive-ready narratives and briefings
• Strong strategic communication and leadership skills, including stakeholder coordination and people management
• Bachelor's degree in communications, business, strategy, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)

Compensation for the Strategic Communications Lead include:

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 depending on experience
