Responsibilities
- Work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi- layered maps accomplished by using an appropriate combination of tools found in the GIS application suite and other programming environments.
- Design and implement data conversion procedures and perform software and database quality control.
- Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications.
- Perform project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, and quality assurance and quality control.
- Support SharePoint development and geospatial integration between Microsoft Power Apps and geospatial system and software.
Qualifications
- Eight (8) years of experience performing GIS and related development for law enforcement, immigration, and/or border security applications.
Experience in GIS concepts, computer graphics fundamentals, and relational database fundamentals and concepts is essential. - Must have experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects.
- Must be proficient in the coding of software and manipulating digital databases as well as using GIS programming languages, Internet markup languages, and other, pertinent technologies.
- Must have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing.
- Desired to have experience with supporting software including SharePoint and Microsoft PowerApps.
- Education: BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science or other related field w/GIS experience.
